No Writing & My Pool; Not Relaxing

I officially did it. A whole week passed by and I couldn’t or didn’t write anything.  By that I mean I didn’t write any where, except maybe Facebook.  That place can be so dangerous and such a waste of brain cells. Facebook is not my only excuse, however. I have and can come up with a million of them.  Some legit some not so much.

Last week was the end of school for two of the three districts I drive in.  That means field trips, half days for high school, and full days for middle and elementary.  Translated into regular people speak…Not enough time to go home or do anything in between all the drop offs and pick ups. In other words, very long days in a bus or hanging around. The plus side or size if it happened more often is there is plenty of time for eating big breakfasts and drinking lots of coffee with fellow bus drivers.

Today it’s done. It was the last day for everyone.  The vocational school let out at 11:00. By 1:00 the buses were parked and all the headache causing problems we had for the last ten months are forgotten. Time to relax and recharge.

With this pool I relearned a very important lesson. A well does not hold an infinite amount of water and using too much too fast will empty said well and clog up the plumbing in your house. Not very relaxing.

This year the pool was a mess. It got put away when it was not dry and one of my cats thought it was a litter box. Not nice at all.  Yesterday I spent 3 hours, so I’m told, scrubbing the thing. Water, disinfectant, and the shop vac better have worked and it better be a hot summer because, same as last year, it is not starting out very restful or relaxing.

About ramblinann

I live in Massachusetts and always have. My family continues to grow with the addition of many grandchildren, who steal my heart every time I see them. Recently I was able to check off an item on my bucket list and earn my Associate Degree in Complementary Healthcare, but usually, I can be found sitting behind the wheel of a big yellow school bus. I love to write, though there seems to be some missing connection between my thoughts and the ability of my fingers to put those thoughts on paper, or the screen in this case.
