It’s been a rough couple of weeks, maybe it’s been months, I’m not quite sure. What ever length of time I have been offline has been long. Internet is back on thanks to my mother moving in and needing a landline.
Keeping with that subject, let me tell you. I will never willingly give Charter Communications another dime. Except for the $40+ that I still owe them. That they will see in payments stretched out as long as possible. That company is as monopolizing and money hungry as any company I have ever seen. It turns out to be a blessing that they disconnected me for owing them $60. MUAH and a big KISS OFF! is what I have to say to them.
Now on to brighter news. I became a Nonni again on November 12. My little granddaughter Taylah was born a little after midnight.
With a head full of long dark hair, she of course is the most beautiful baby girl around. I haven’t seen her since Saturday and I know she has already changed since then. Can’t wait to see, hold, and smell her tomorrow. Yes smell. New babies smell so good. I could just sit and breathe them in all day.
This afternoon we move my mother in here. I’m not sure where my head was when I made this decision. It had to have been during the summer when I was trying to drive back and forth to Philly and still have time to drive in to bring her places. Or possibly it was after a date with the Captain, or a few Twisted Teas. I don’t know, I don’t remember, but I can’t back out now. It is what it is and it aint what it aint.
This is about all I have for today. I have missed writing here. Not that I say much of great importance, but it is a way for me to keep writing something. My plan of working on my short story fizzled. I think I managed to get one paragraph added. Not very productive on that front. Two awkward people are still sitting at a dinner table and I can’t figure out what to do with them. Maybe over the winter I can jump to the next part and come back later to finish dinner.
So in closing, I want to wish everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
