This is going to be a very short post.
September 8 may seem like a very ordinary day to everyone. It comes, like clockwork, every year in between September 7 and September 9. Even the Mayan Calender will probably agree.
But for me September 8 is the birthday to some many people I know or knew.
Joseph Giaquinto – My older brother. I didn’t know him for long. He was killed in a car accident when he was 18. I was only 8. We were years apart in age, but even then I always felt we were twins and I just decided I wasn’t ready to face the world so I hung back. I miss him still. Happy Birthday Joey, thanks for watching down on me.
Francine (Bigley) Budge – I met my bestest friend Fran through my husband Jim. He was good friends with her and her husband Dave. We instantly connected and when I found out she had the same birthday as Joey, I made her my sister. Damn I miss her too. She lost her battle with cancer in 2002. Ten years she has been gone. It just doesn’t seem fair. Happy Birthday Fran, love ya, come back and say hi once in a while.
Moonsie – One of my husband’s oldest friends. We don’t see him much now. He can’t drive anymore, and we live an hour away. The stories I have heard about him. Geez. The man with 9 lives. Can honestly say he is the only person I know that was declared dead, put into a body bag, and woke up when the drivers stopped for coffee. Happy birthday Moons.
Paula Giaquinto – Thanks to Facebook, I recently found out one of my cousins also shares this birthday. Paula was a cousin we did not see often growing up because she lived way up in Fitchburg and we all lived in Worcester. Now it’s a nothing drive because of the highway, but back then you had to take Rte 12 all the way. It was like traveling to another world. Happy Birthday Paula
I feel like I am missing someone. If I am I will come back later and fill you in. For now I need to get my butt in gear and get cake pops made for the baby shower tomorrow. I have done almost nothing to help and sitting here is not getting me anywhere fast. Gotta make this nice for Beth and Taylah.
