Summer Vacation?

School was finished back on June 18 and my summer vacation technically started then.  However; it feels like I have been working more since school got out.

Three long hot trips driving from Massachusetts to Philly, PA and back, one day driving buses from one lot over to “the pit”, and non stop projects around the house has kept me going and worn out.  Not to mention the days have been pretty warm and humid. That alone can make a person drag.  Now don’t get me wrong, I live for the summer, the heat, and the sunshine, but I love to relax and enjoy some of it.

In fact I broke down and bought a 3′ swimming pool last week.  It has a blow up ring around the top and it sets itself up as it fills with water.  That is when you don’t run your well dry, suck up all the sediment from the bottom, and clog the plumbing in your house.  Then it sits with 1′ of water and becomes a very expensive home for mosquitoes.

This seems to be how my summer vacation is going to roll. I’m working on making the best of it.  It will be a time to learn patience and relaxation techniques. Enjoy the day for what it is and not fret over what it is not. Soon enough the leaves will start to turn and I will be wishing for these warm summer days to return.

About ramblinann

I live in Massachusetts and always have. I sell healthy holistic pet food as an independant rep with Life's Abundance. That is done mostly from home on my computer. When I'm not working for myself with the pet food, I am sitting behind the wheel of a big yellow school bus.
