It’s Wednesday and each morning this week I started a new post. As you can tell I never finished and or published Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday is a new day.
Today; a brief note about stress. Don’t let it get to you. Last week I failed to follow that advice and boy have I paid the price.
My brain went into a complete fog. I spent the last couple of days on auto pilot, which in my job is very hard to do. For those who don’t know, I drive a school bus. A substitute school bus. That means when someone has time off or doesn’t show, I jump in a bus and go. I like that phrase, think I’ll use it elsewhere. In the last two days I was four different people.
It was not just my brain that stopped working. I stopped physically as well. Being in a fog I got nothing accomplished. That stressed me out even more, which made my absolutely wonderful IBS kick into gear. This time around it went into turbo. Add in the new way I am eating and I had no idea what to eat that would help. That added more stress which in turn compounded the situation. It took a friend yelling at me and a terribly painful afternoon bus ride to bring me to the extreme end to the problem. DONE
I feel so much clearer this morning. I am focusing better and my stress level is at zero. I am going to study and practice Reiki more. Being new at it, I don’t think I was able to focus enough to help myself. I’m going to ask for help to clear things out and I will be able to keep the stress at bay next time.
My advice to you today is: Learn what you need to do to keep stress from taking over. Meditate, Pray, Shut off the TV, Exercise, Relax in a bubble bath, Make a playlist of de-stress songs and let them take you away. What ever it takes DO IT. Eating, drinking, or drugs are not options obviously.
