World’s Ugliest Scarf

Excuse the little cat fee off to the side.  One of the three is always helping.  This morning it was Jordan.

First let me tell you the pictures don’t do the ugliness justice.  I was able to pull the sides even and keep them from rolling so it actually looks like a scarf in the picture.  In real life it is not so perfect.  The stitches are not all the same tension so the pattern is off and both long sides curl up.  I laugh every time I see it.  Go ahead you can laugh too.

Though as funny as it is I am proud I made it.  Everyone has to start somewhere.   Soon I’ll be creating all kinds of funny looking things.  My next project is a shawl for summer.  Yes a shawl.  I always wanted a shawl.  Now that I’m going to be a Nonni I think I need a shawl.

It’s supposed to look like this

I love shawls, too and have been reveling in the one my fiance sent me from Afghanistan. Your scarf is an excellent start. I wouldn’t know where to begin such a project, but I am certain it’s a skill that gets better with practice 😉 Congrats on becoming a nonni!

Thank you. I’m excited about being a nonni. My step daughter has a five year old and I love when we get to see him I can’t wait for a new baby. The scarf was a lot easier then the granny square I tried. That ended up with 5 corners. I know that wasn’t right.
