Ramblin On

Finally able to sit at home with electricity and internet.  It has been a long week.

During the day I came up with a ton of ideas to write about, but at the end of the day I didn’t have the time or energy to write about any of them.  Keeping a house going without modern utilities is very tiring and time-consuming.  After work, boiling water for dishes, maintaining the generator, and rotating plugged in appliances, I was too exhausted to do much of anything.  Besides my computer battery was always running on low from the little bit of charge I got from work.

Today, as I sat on the bus during a charter, I started recapping the ongoing saga of the last couple of months.  It started out as multiple blog posts, but is quickly taking on a life of its own.  Not sure where it is going to lead or what form it will take on, but it feels so good to sit and just type away.  Hopefully it will be the momentum I need to write the stories that are stewing or the informational book about school bus safety.

I feel some changes coming and this could be the catalyst needed.   Time to let ‘er rip and let the chips fall where they may.

About ramblinann

I live in Massachusetts and always have. My family continues to grow with the addition of many grandchildren, who steal my heart every time I see them. Recently I was able to check off an item on my bucket list and earn my Associate Degree in Complementary Healthcare, but usually, I can be found sitting behind the wheel of a big yellow school bus. I love to write, though there seems to be some missing connection between my thoughts and the ability of my fingers to put those thoughts on paper, or the screen in this case.

‘Time to let ‘er rip and let the chips fall where they may.’ – That’s such a brilliant way to finish the post. I agree, it’s great when you let the story take you on it’s journey. Happy writing! 2. Glad your power is back on! It’s so early in the year to be getting such weather. I don’t have television, so I didn’t realize y’all were still in the dark.

Also glad to hear you’re still writing. I’m not sure what it was that gave me the momentum to keep going once I got started, but when I did it seems like a lot of life changes happened, almost like a domino effect. Writing was the constant that got me through it all and still is.

It feels like a floodgate has opened. I keep thinking of things to write about. Some on the serious side and some just plain out there in la la land. Now the challenge of finding time to sit and write. While I’m awake that is.
