Health Insurance

It must be a sign of old age when reading the member handbook for your new health insurance is exciting.

I bit the bullet last month and signed up for the state mandated “affordable” health insurance. It is not really affordable, don’t let anyone tell you it is, but at my age it is becoming a necessity.

In all my excitement reading through 70+ pages of the member handbook I found we can finally have our eyes examined and finally finally finally I can go to the dentist for an exam and cleaning.  Fillings won’t be covered, but scaling is.  Wow how exciting is that?

I feel so much better siting here, knowing I have health insurance coverage.  I won’t later today when I have to put a stamp on the envelope and send them a check for over $700, but I guess all feelings of contentment come with a price tag.

I live in Massachusetts and always have. I sell healthy holistic pet food as an independant rep with Life's Abundance. That is done mostly from home on my computer. When I'm not working for myself with the pet food, I am sitting behind the wheel of a big yellow school bus.
