The End Of January

It’s almost here.  The countdown has begun.  January 2011 is almost over and I for one say good riddance.

At my age I should not be thankful that time is moving, but I will be glad to see this month come to a close.  In the last four weeks we have had three major snow storms, only one full week of work, and paychecks that were hardly worth printing.  To say it’s been a rough one would be an understatement.

These pictures are from the January 12th storm.  The first of the three.  Yes this was followed by one on January 18th and one on January 21st.   At least I think it stormed on those day. It has been hard keeping track of what day it actually is.

Two and one half days and we can close the door on the third snowiest January on record.

About ramblinann

I live in Massachusetts and always have. My family continues to grow with the addition of many grandchildren, who steal my heart every time I see them. Recently I was able to check off an item on my bucket list and earn my Associate Degree in Complementary Healthcare, but usually, I can be found sitting behind the wheel of a big yellow school bus. I love to write, though there seems to be some missing connection between my thoughts and the ability of my fingers to put those thoughts on paper, or the screen in this case.

Hahah, I hadn’t thought about the fact that I shouldn’t wish time to hurry by at my age, but I too was glad to see January scoot on past. Now it can slow down a little, as soon as these zero temps reach something more tolerable.

If only the storms would stop. The cold I hate, but can layer up for it. These foot of snow every couple of days is doing me in. They give us the day off from school, but we have to spend it shoveling. A sandy beach with a cool ocean breeze sounds absolutely heavenly right now.
