Pet Food Making Kids Sick

Everyone knows that I am a distributor with a natural pet food company.  I also try to keep you up to date with all the recalls of unsafe pet food out there. I know not everyone feeds Life’s Abundance and they need to know if their food has been pulled off the shelves.

Would I love to have you all as customers?  Of course I would. Not because I want your business but because I believe the food is the best and the company has your pet’s health as a priority.  Since becoming a distributor I have learned so much about pet food.  Stuff that made me feel so bad for all the dogs and cats I have fed through the years.  Stuff that makes my stomach turn.

Watching the local news this morning I saw a BRIEF news blip about pet food making our children sick.  Of course I paid attention to the 30 second flash.  It was about salmonella poisoning.  When I got onto Facebook this morning I read the post from the same news channel and people were laughing about feeding their kids dog food.  If I could have reached through the computer I would have.  This is not about feeding your kids dog food.  It is about exposure to food contaminated with salmonella.   Exposure that could be as simple as picking the food up, getting the salmonella on their hands and then putting their hands in their mouths.

Below are just a couple of links to information.  Everyone who has little kids knows how quickly they can become dehydrated.  It is dangerous and can cause much greater problems.  The biggest symptom of salmonella is diarrhea, sometimes bloody.   That can cause dehydration very quickly.

I didn’t write this to scare anyone, just to keep you informed.  Things are not like they were when I was a kid.  We never had to worry about this crap.  Things were much more simple, relaxed, and healthy.  Today we need to be constantly vigilant about everything around us.  Pay attention to the ingredients in what you eat, try to eat as few “additives” and as little processed food as possible.  This goes for everyone in your household including your pets.  Their systems are not meant to eat chemically processed, artificially colored foods either.  They rely on you to feed them, make sure what you bring into the house is safe for them and all of your family members.

About ramblinann

I live in Massachusetts and always have. I sell healthy holistic pet food as an independant rep with Life's Abundance. That is done mostly from home on my computer. When I'm not working for myself with the pet food, I am sitting behind the wheel of a big yellow school bus.
