It’s half way through another week of the diet and excercise routine. I refuse to become a slave to the scale so I will only post weight changes on Monday, but I finally feel like something is happening. Small changes in the way my shorts fit when I put them on this morning and a little less drag in the tail section.
It is going to be a tough week to keep going, I can feel it already. Monday, Casey my beagle, and I walked over two miles but yesterday I had “dump duty” and it was too hot once I was done with that. I promised her I would walk later in the evening, but my allergies kicked in and kicked my butt. I couldn’t breathe right and had a bad sinus headache so I broke my promise.
This morning I was still dragging from the allergy pill I took yesterday. Sort of that fishbowl feeling and I really did not want to go, but she made me. Gave me those sad puppy dog eyes and so off we went before I used the heat as an excuse again. A bit shorter today, probably closer to one mile then two but at least we went.
Came home and had my whopping 3/4 cup of cereal and 1 whole cup of fresh cherries. Surprisingly it is starting to keep my satisfied. The trick is eat slow, savor EVERY bite, and pay attention to every spoonful that goes in. It will all be worth it when in a couple of months I can lumber through the bus parking lot with my four layers of clothes and not be out of breath.
